Today's Little Questions

Can I play question and answer?
Have I found plastic or pearl?
Did she tell me not to want her?
Did she tell me she's a bad girl?

Did our paths cross by accident?
Was it constructed in the stars?
I'm I destiny's fool regent?
Do I control my fate so far?

How much of my past hinders me?
How much of her past hinders her?
Are they part of our destiny?
Is the future more than a blur?

Will this seed have a chance to grow?
Can I wait for her to decide?
Have I the patience to go slow?
Is there enough respect to confide?

How high am I willing to climb,
to meet her on her home field?
Only with the passage of time
will the answers be revealed.
