Good that you acknowledge your challenges and depicts them as "shadows" & "darkness". Once there's light, the shadow will evaporate. May the light continue to guide your path...

I did too. My mom and I are very close... I cherish every moment the universe has given to us. She lives far away, but I try to keep in touch and have her words envelope me like a shawl.

It's never a competition of poems. Rather a circus where words are performed and readers like spectators, marvel. Please continue to write and inspire people like me.

It's the bitter truth of this age! Corrupt politics where as you say, "Is everywhere, we find it in all nations", where they are "ruling for the sake of power to delay due process."

Your feelings for her in this poem is quite palpable. She painted a picture which made you think you "stood a chance." You probably will never stop missing her.

This is a mind blowing poem! Life very transient. Time even worse when it slips on you. Good thing you are there as " there are no other men to be found."

This a very strong poem. I'm immediately drawn to the scene, my mind floating in slow motion, looking at "the view from half way down."
