NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO WIN. Open to natural persons age 18 or older (each, an "Entrant"), and who are registered members of the Poetry.com Website (the "Website"). This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial, and local laws and regulations, and is void wherever prohibited or restricted by law. Employees of the Website, International Library of Poetry, or any other affiliated websites, or any of their respective parents, affiliates, or subsidiaries (collectively, the "Sponsor"), and members of their immediate family or household, are not eligible to participate. This Promotion is open to legal residents of the United States and most other jurisdictions, except where and to extent that this Promotion is prohibited or restricted by law.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Each member of the Website will receive a unique URL identification (the "URL") through which poems may be submitted as part of the Promotion. In order to participate in the Promotion, Entrants must recruit or entice, including through their own unique message anywhere on the world wide web (but subject in all cases to the rules herein), individuals who are not current members of the Website to submit poems (each a "Poem") through the Entrant's URL for acceptance by the Website's editorial staff. Each Poem must be submitted in accordance with the guidelines set forth below, and each individual submitting a Poem will be required to include their name, e-mail address, and mailing address. Only one Poem will be accepted per individual, and individuals may not submit multiple poems under the same URL.

In order to be eligible to receive a prize under this Promotion, Entrants must have Poems submitted from at least 50 separate individuals accepted under their unique URL. At the end of the Promotion Period (described below), the number of accepted Poems submitted through each URL will be tallied, and the Entrants submitting the highest numbers of accepted Poems will become eligible to receive the prizes described below.

PROMOTION PERIOD. Entrants will be entitled to receive Prizes for any Submitted Poems submitted during a "Promotion Period" beginning on April 25, 2008, and ending on Jul 31, 2008. Sponsor reserves the right to terminate the Promotion Period and/or this Promotion by giving notice, deemed appropriate by Sponsor, in which case the Promotion Period will terminate on 3rd calendar day following the date on which notice was given.

POEM SUBMISSION GUIDELINES. Each Poem must be received through an Entrant's unique URL link in order for an Entrant to be credited for that poem. Each Poem must be submitted in accordance with any rules or guidelines that may be applicable to any given Contest. In addition, each submitted Poem must be over 25 words, but consist of less than 24 lines (and may not exceed 65 characters per line). Poems may not contain profane, obscene, or sexually explicit or suggestive material or content. Further, each Poem must be the poet's own original work, cannot be plagiarized in any manner, and in no way infringe upon the rights of any third party. All quotations, no matter their length, must be credited to their original source. Each Poem must be coherent, written in the English language, and follow a basic sentence and grammar structure. The Website's editorial staff reserves the right to reject or exclude any submitted Poem from this Promotion based on its failure to conform to the foregoing guidelines and other Promotion rules, and any determination by the Website's editorial staff on such matters will be final and binding under all circumstances.

PRIZES AND ODDS OF WINNING. Prizes will be awarded to Entrants in the order of, and based upon, the number of accepted Poems submitted under each Entrant's URL. Prizes will be awarded in order of the highest number of accepted Poems submitted as follows:

The top three (3) Entrants having the most accepted Poems submitted under their URL will also earn the title of "Champions of Poetry."

No alternative or substitution to any Prize is permitted, except with the consent of Sponsor. Each Prize is non-transferable and non-salable. The odds of winning will depend upon the number of accepted Poems submitted under each Entrant's URL.

ADDITIONAL RESTRICTIONS. In obtaining submissions of Poems under their URL, Entrants may utilize whatever methods (including messages or other submissions on the world wide web) they deem appropriate; provided that such methods may not violate any applicable state, federal, or local law or regulation; and provided further that such methods may not involve content that is crude, vulgar, or otherwise inappropriate. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant if Sponsor determines (in its sole discretion, with such determination to be final and binding for all purposes) that an Entrant is violating the law, or is otherwise employing methods determined by Sponsor to be inappropriate, offensive, infringing, obscene, sexually explicit or otherwise unacceptable. Upon any disqualification of an Entrant under these Promotion rules, such Entrant will no longer have any right or license to use Sponsor's banner, trademarks, or other intellectual property, on the world wide web, in connection with the Promotion, or otherwise.

GENERAL CONDITIONS. In the event of any Prize winner's noncompliance with, or ineligibility under, these Rules, the Prize awarded to such Prize Winner will be forfeited, and an alternate winner may be selected to receive such Prize. If there are no eligible entries for any Prize, that particular Prize will not be awarded. Prizes won by a minor will be awarded only in the name of the minor's parent or legal guardian. All taxes, fees, and surcharges on prizes are the sole responsibility of the Prize winners or their parents/guardian, if they are a minor. By participating and accepting a Prize, each Prize winner agrees, to the maximum extent permitted by law, to the use by Sponsor of his/her name, address, photograph, videotape or any likeness for advertising or publicity purposes and to the use of statements made by or attributed to him/her relating to Sponsor or this promotion, and releases any and all rights to said use without further compensation.

NO PARTNERSHIP OF AGENCY. By participating in this Promotion and/or submitting a poem under his or her URL, each Entrant acknowledges and understands that he or she is not acting as an employee or other agent of Sponsor. Under no circumstances shall any Entrant be deemed to be an employer, partner, agent, affiliate, or principal of Sponsor, by virtue of any Entrant's participation in the Promotion or otherwise. No Entrant shall have any right to obligate or bind the Sponsor in any manner whatsoever, and Sponsor is not responsible for the acts or any omissions of any Entrant in connection with obtaining Poem submissions or otherwise in connection with this Promotion.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY. Sponsor is not responsible for the form or content of any Poem submitted in connection with this Promotion. Sponsor is not responsible for the form or content of any message used by Entrant to entice submissions on the world wide web. All Entrants release Sponsor and its officers, directors, agents, employees and all others associated with the development and execution of this Promotion from any and all liability with respect to or in any way arising from this Promotion and/or acceptance or use of the prizes. Sponsor is not responsible for the quality or utility of any Prize. Sponsor is not responsible for any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions in this Promotion. Sponsor is not responsible for user cheating or fraud by any entrants. Any activities intended to disrupt or interfere with the proper play of the Promotion, or defraud sponsor in any way will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Participants engaging in any of the foregoing activities will be disqualified and will forfeit any Prizes won. If, for any reason, this contest is not capable of running as planned, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this Promotion.
