1. How do I register on Lulu Poetry?
Go to the Registration page. Fill out the form with your username, valid email address, and password.
Personal information is stored in our secure database, and we won't share it with third parties except under limited and necessary circumstances.

Click the Sign Up button. Once you sign up, you can submit and rate poems, and enter poems into Lulu Poetry’s contest.


2. I was a member of the old Poetry.com site. How can I register and access my poems on Lulu Poetry?
Welcome to Lulu Poetry. To access your account, you will first need to update your registration. Go to the Registration page and click the “Claim your profile” link.
If you remember the email address that you used to register before, please enter it and click the Claim button. Instructions will be emailed to your account.


3. I have more than one account on Lulu Poetry. How can I combine my poems into one account?
To combine multiple accounts on Lulu Poetry, please contact our Customer Support team at help@poetry.com. Please be sure to include the name on both accounts, a list of poems you would like moved, and the email address you used to register.


4. How can I change my password?
To update your password, first log in to the site and then click the Account link at the top of the page. Next, select the Edit button. From here, you will be able to enter and confirm a new password. When you are finished, select the Update button.


5. What should I do if I lost my password?
If you have forgotten your password, go to the login page and select “click here to reset”. You can then enter your email address and click the Submit button. Instructions on how to reset your password will be emailed to you.


6. How do I update my biography on Lulu Poetry?
You biography is a great way to let readers know more about you. To update your profile, first log in to the site and then click the Account link at the top of the page. Next, select the Edit button. From here, you will be able to update your name, email, password, biography, and PayPal information. When you are finished, select the Update button.


7. Why do you ask for my PayPal email address in my account information?
Prizes for winning the Poetry Contest are paid through PayPal (www.paypal.com). Providing your PayPal email address in your account information helps Lulu Poetry to award prizes quickly and efficiently, if you win the Daily, Monthly, or Annual Contest. This information is kept confidential and will only be used to pay contest prizes.

8. How can I edit my poem?
If there are errors in your poem that you wish to correct, you can edit your work online. First, log in to the site and click the Account link at the top of the page. Click on the title of the poem you would like to edit, and then select the Edit button. Make changes to your poem and then click the Update Your Poem button.
Your changes will appear on the web immediately.


9. How can I remove my poetry from this site?
Lulu Poetry publishes contest entries on the web as a free service so that our poets may see their work and share it with others all over the world. If you would like your poetry removed, this can be updated online.
Simply log in to the site and click the Account link at the top of the page. Click on the title of the poem you would like to remove, and then select the Delete Poem link. Select the Ok button to confirm you would like to remove the poem, and your account will be updated immediately.
You can also request that your poem be removed by contacting our Customer Support team at removal-request@poetry.com. Please be sure to include your username and a list of the poems you would like removed.


10. What is the Leader Board?
The Leader Board shows poems with this highest ranking on the site. It is updated hourly.


11. How do I rate a poem?
After reading a poem, you can give it a rating. In the Rate this Poem box, select the numeric rating that you would like to give the poem and then click the Submit Your Vote button.
After voting, you will see the poem’s average rating and the number of other readers who have rated the poem.


12. How do I find out my poem’s current rating?
To view your poem’s average rating and the number of readers who have rated your poem, simply log in to the site and view your poem. The rating is shown on to the right of your poem.


13. How does the contest work?
Every poem that is submitted to Lulu Poetry is entered in the Daily, Monthly, and Annual contests. Poems must be original works and adhere to the Lulu Poetry Membership Agreement.
Lulu Poetry’s judges select contest winners, but the community picks the poems that the judges will review. Judges review the top 10% of poems that have the highest ranking by the community. A poem’s ranking is based both on average rating and the number of votes the poem has received.

14. How do I know if I won the contest?
Contest winners will be notified by email within 5 business days of winning the daily, monthly, or annual contest, and a list of winners will be posted in the Poetry Blog.


15. How many contest winners are chosen?
One contest winner will be selected each day for the $25 daily prize. One winner will be selected per month for the $250 monthly prize, and one winner will be selected per year for the $5000 annual prize.


16. When is the annual $5000 Grand Prize awarded?
The annual $5000 Grand Prize is chosen from among all of the highest rated poems each year. The prize is awarded each February for the previous year. The annual Grand Prize winner is also notified by email and posted on our website.


17. Is there an entry fee or obligation to purchase anything to participate in the contest?
There is no fee whatsoever to enter the poetry contest.


18. How can I get my poems posted on Lulu Poetry?
Everyone who submits a poem to our contest online is immediately published on our web site. After your poem is posted on Lulu Poetry, you will be able to view and edit your poem at any time.


19. How do you select the Poem of the Day?
The Poems of the Day are selected from the poems uploaded to the site based on a number of factors, including appropriateness for the home page.


20. Is there a charge to feature my poem on Lulu Poetry?
There is no charge to upload and display your poem on Lulu Poetry.


21. What is Lulu Poetry’s stand on protecting their poets’ privacy?
We believe in keeping your confidential information just that--confidential. Please refer to our Privacy Policy (http://www.poetry.com/privacy-policy/) for more details.


22. What are tags?
Tags are words or short phrases used to help readers find your poems more easily in search. You can add tags to a new poem, or while editing an old poem, by typing the tag name in the Tags field. Separate multiple tags on the same entry with a comma (eg: "roses, red, love, flowers").


23. How can I publish a book of my poetry?
