A Flower Blossoms

Date Written: September 7, 2017

A flower blossoms.

An aged tree falls to its untimely death.
The sun shines brightly upon both,
for it sees life and death…daily.
A beautiful young bird learns to fly.
Another falls from its nest.
The winds blow upon both,
sending one on its way…the other, nowhere.
Summer is over.
Winter invades.
A cold white blanket is made to hide the dead.
Life is life.
Life goes on.
Yet none know why…
                                      …a
flower blossoms.
