Poem Title

Date Written: September 10, 2017

You are my companion.

You are my cup of tea.

When I am near you, something always pounds inside me.

From the first day I ever saw you.

From day one,

I knew that you were the one.

Talk about weak in the knees.

Talk about butterflies in the tummy

Our first kiss and all that followed there so after, oh so yummy!

Every day I walk the earth in good faith

Every day I open my eyes from the deepest slumber

Will you be there? Indeed, I never have to wonder.

You took me deep inside your warm assuring arms

You took me away from a dark lonely life.

Beside the deep blue rippling waters, you became my beautiful wife.

You will always be my companion

You will always be my cup of tea.

And yes even after all these years,

Whenever you are near, something always pounds inside me.
