Today's Young People

Today's young people,
Are disregarded to think irresponsible.
By those who have aged.

Today's young people,
Are thought to be impulsive and groundless.
Undisciplined and thought free.
Today's young people are considered to be,
Unconcerned about anything.
But their own selfish needs.

Yet...
If it had not been,
For the young observing to witness...
Their quality of life,
Purposely being diminished...
Taking a nose dive.
By senseless adults,
Out to destroy entitlements to have them had,
In a weakening democracy.
That democracy enjoyed,
With today's freedoms to get.
Would no longer exist.

While those sitting in leadership positions.
Doing stupid...
Nonsense.
Not to mention B.S.
The process of a greater America,
Flawed and blemished...
By unconscious limited in mind adults.
Could end with dire results.
To allow ignorance to achieve,
A thoughtless destruction.
Based upon and a need to prove,
Stupidity delivers benefits...
From racial and bigoted divisions!
And the young,
Far from being stupid.
Have shown themselves not to be that dumb!

Like...
Well,
Those attempting to revive the past.
Believing to sit on their aspirations.
Would bring everlasting progress.
To times long gone that have passed!
