This was a terrific piece, man. It’s so hard to do a convincing humorous poem—this one had me chuckling the whole way through. The “tick tick” concluding it … priceless!

Hope I’m not aging myself with the reference, but oh what I would give to hear it narrated by Archie Bunker.

Well, if you're aging yourself, then count me in because I grew up with Archie and Edith myself. I was born the same year Kennedy was assassinated. All in the Family was perhaps the single greatest sitcom of all time. I thought this piece came out pretty good if I do say so myself. I sort of knew it wouldn't take a prize but figured why not. You never know where people are in their lives that it may just be the right poem for the right time. In any regard, thank you for checking out my slop and leaving positive feedback. It is appreciated.

Oh and, eyes peeled as I have a couple more "what I consider to be funny" poems down the pike. No doubt those will net me a hefty echo-effect no votes as per always. LoL

Brilliant poem and I should have known this one was you :) It was in my top rankings for the contest. I will definably save this one to read again and again. Thanks for giving us a peak into that brilliant mind and the thoughts that rattle around it. So good!

Sometimes I think a poem of mine, like this one, might tickle enough fancies to garner some votes...until I start reading other poems only to realize mine are too obscure often times. I still think I'm funny, so to the hell with them. LoL

I love your style and if people can't appreciate the obscure then let them go on their merry way not knowing how ridiculous they are for not appreciating pure genius. And oh yeah, you're funny too, so the the heck with them.
