LIFE'S A STAGE

When upon life's stage you play,
We laugh or cry, we hail or shame.
When you miss your lines and fail,
We do not know you got it wrong.
When you leave and curtains fall
We walk our legs to the next show.

But when from a mistake you fear
And end before the lights fade out,
We wonder why but take our leave
Straight ahead to the next show.
And if yours is twice or thrice better,
You leave us ignorant alone.

About this poem

As humans we appreciate the best from the people alive that when they complete their course and die, we look on to the next best person alive. There's no way we'd know if anyone could be better than what they show. So those who commit suicide walk away from the stage with the pain of not giving their best. We may mourn them a little but tag along with a new hero afterwards.
