His Spell

Even when she was mad at him
He'd still manage to make her smile
She would try to avoid his look
Succumbing to his persuasive guile

Somehow he'd coax her out
Of her protective shell
From her heart hurt and self doubt
He'd break her angry spell

She'd hate herself for not being strong
For bursting into laughter
But when she saw he did mean well
She returned to hopes hereafter

All she wanted was his romance
To adore her more and more
When he did she'd return to him
And they'd drift back out from shore

An exquisite piece with just the right touch
It flows quite well & says so much! (& there’s a shooting star in the background!)
