He said, "don't squeeze too tightly!"
"Else i end up crumbling down"
"These old bag of bones are rattling"
"And i don't wish to stain your gown"

So she held him ever so gently
It felt good to feel him again
Even though he was skin n bones
And coughing up some phlegm

His bony ribs were rattling
Which made her softly snort
His rattling and her snorting
Made music which couldn't be bought

All those times she missed him
Were gone in just a flash
Now his rattling self was here
In time for cornbeef mash!
