Unrequited Garden

For every day you stare at them

A seed is planted in your chest

For every time you swoon and sigh

A leaf is grown in your lungs

For every stutter you make in their presence

A bud is formed around your heart

For every “I love you” thought but never said

A flower blooms within you

Beautiful flowers of love

Suffocating you

It’s unrequited, Despair inducing

And you perish with a beautiful garden of love

It’s beauty never to be seen.
