I'm awakened from slumber by a knock on the door

Four walls and a lock, that is it, nothing more

She shouts my name and pounds on the door

Four walls and a lock, that is it, nothing more

I lock myself in to keep others out

She cries out again, she screams and she shouts

But she has not the key to disable the lock

I glance up at the wall and I notice the clock

Five minutes til midnight, too long she should stay

I scream she must go, yes, she must go away

My body, it lurches, the change has begun

I beg her and beg her and beg her to run

She's suspected that something was wrong but not what

She follows me here and tries to get through to me but

Only one other person has the key to this room

And if she came in now it would lead to her doom

My animal mind has begun to take over

I plead for her to take flight over and over

My best friend can't see me, can't see me this way

I fear only disaster will come if she stays

I am fully transformed, not a man but a beast

I let out a bloodcurdling howl and she screams

I throw myself at the door then again at the walls

Only she can hear me out in the halls

All is safe while she's on the other side of the door

Four steel walls and a lock, that is it, nothing more

Then to my horror I hear something give

The door is swung open and as long as I live

I will never forget the look on her face

At what creature now stands there in my place

The door shuts behind her and locks once again

I hear her scream as her voice does ascend

And I know who has mastermined a scene quite so hellish

My lover whom I never took to be jealous
