Our First Kiss

The sky was filled with smog, and alcohol filled my body.

It was cold.

The kind of cold where you shiver a little longer and your cheeks turn a bit redder.

We were staring up at a sky that was unfamiliar to us and screamed limitations.

There were no stars in the sky, but the only ones that mattered were the ones in your eyes.

Their radiance brought me in closer and closer, and suddenly I felt at home.

Because your skin is the sun, and your eyes hold the stars.

And in that moment I felt like something was familiar even when my surroundings were blurred
