Storms

Date Written: November 11, 2017

you showed me a rose-coloured reality
I thought that yours had been coloured like mine
Though thunder and storms raged within me
Your warmth took them out of my mind

I held onto you oh so tight
Pressing your essence to me
But all of my strength and my might
Could not keep you from wriggling free

Looking back, it was perfect and simple
I see now, too good to be true
It only took me until now to realise
My storms had been named after you.
