BYE BYE

I ne’er knew I could hurt so

thinking of your boyish face

into an honorable man you had grown

being in a better place

unknown to my mournful soul.

I could count on you forever

no matter my distress or opinion

to save the day since childhood

my trust in you implicit

as we both suffered in a loveless union.

You might not have been my husband

to be explicit you are: my One above,

my true love,

my Beloved.

We never got to say Bye Bye

Why?

On our last day before I left for Dubai

we passed each other like strangers.

A year later, I heard of the

fatal crash saving everyone

except yourself!

All I got was to write off

a kiss we shared on my annulment

fire in your green eyes as judgement past

gentle, soft with inviting lips

you teased as my lips succumbed

to please and return the heated bliss.

We should have spent the night entwined

writhing on the table, stairs or any surface

if you didn’t respect my honor so.

What do I have now?

Bye Bye with tears in my eyes

when it’s too late to hold you.

My head bows hoping in

my sweetest dreams

I may please?
