Dancing on my Own

I pick weighs at seventy kilograms,

he sweats at fifty as I cheer him on,

runs ten Ks in forty five never to diminish,

guys moan at being alive watching me finish,

kick boxing I remain undefeated drawing blood,

unrefuted the Stud glares at the Champ.

Dancing on my Own

invisible to the world,

I raise everyday invincible

with every ounce of my Being

better than my best before.

I, the Champ, am in competition

with Jessica of my past, the

one in the mirror staring back

to eviscerate her mediocrity,

build up her endurance,

so that Girl Rising unrecognized

by the world, lives up to her prophecy

of being the Greatest!

Typo – replace ‘weighs’ with ‘weights’
Replace ‘raise’ with rise… No edit function and don’t want to repost the same
