EMPYREAN SCHEME (a song)

      he was a student of life, but he fell in love with an angel of christ; an
      angel from above. sat in the rooms beneath the bicycle sheds, he was
      taught into red bloom by the demon in his head. she was old, she was
      young, she was a teacher on the run; she was all he'd ever dreamed; an
      empyrean scheme. she was young, she was old, she didn't have to be told;
      she was all he'd ever dreamed, an empyrean scheme. now the gods play
      cricket with an old baseball, & the students at the wicket are slammed
      against the wall. he was a student of life, but he lost his pride to an
      angel of christ; a demon in disguise. she was old, she was young, she was
      a teacher on the run; she was all he'd ever dreamed; an empyrean scheme.
      she was young, she was old, she didn't have to be told; she was all he'd
      ever dreamed; an empyrean scheme. behind the walking pavilions, the Lords
      bat once again; in the centre of ireland, the lovelorn bombers reign. she
      was old, she was young, she was a teacher on the run; she was an empyrean
      scheme; a heart-raping academe. she was all he'd ever dreamed; a
      twenty-carat scream; and all she did was pass him by with an empyrean
      gleam.
