I Am Standing on a Hill

I am standing on a hill

With the spirits of those killed.

Why am I not with them, you ask?

I am here for the things I lack.

~

Love is but a burden.

They call it very antique.

It clouds the mind, it blinds the eyes, it takes over the physique.

Love will erase all things bad about a person and replace it with good.

                It will destroy us all,

So I say with a drawl,

I do not think we should.

That is why some people choose not to love.

To care for.

It will be a war

So I pray to the stars above.

Because in the end,

When everyone gets killed.

I will stand on the hill

And my mind will bend.

When everyone else’s amaurosis gets them killed

I will not be thrilled.

For the record, I won’t be sad,

But laugh at all the mindless love you had.

When everyone is gone,

I will subsist.

I do not lie, I do insist,

That what killed you was your bond.

Those that you loved,

Did not love you back.

So I live for what I lack;

Any love I had was shoved.

This is why I do not feel,

Because it helps keep my mind real.

I do not hate, I will not love,

But I will forever pray to the stars above.

I am standing on a hill

With the spirits of those killed.

Why am I not with them, you ask?

I am here for the things I lack.
