Death of a star

Death of a star

In the halo of cosmic mirth

A star longed to take birth

The lovable delighted earth –

Witness to its awesome birth

It shone bright with all its might

It thought it could woo the night

It shone brighter and brighter

As night became darker and darker

It was rather innocent and hopeful

It never knew the sky was deceitful

All co-stars and cosmic bodies wore mask

Their genuineness it did not bother to ask

It glowed at par excellence

But in vast expanse, dot- like its existence

Infinity and negligence killed its virtue radiant

This is how, slowly died the star brilliant
