Three Fifty Three

It was dead winter when heavy frost came.

All the animals migrated or hibernated as quickly as they could.

Others just slept in trees or beds of straw.

Licking their chops and retreiving their paws.

For it was just three fifty three.

A shadow of darkness not everyone could see.
