Lemniscate

Be my touch as you awaken
feel my kiss ensconce your
thoughts, lucid illusions of words
that stain from ruby lips
and curl up purring
in your gentle open palm.

The violet frosted mist
covered mountains, skies
that draw your memories
to me, moonlight slipping
across your skin in whispers,
tingled breaths of ecstasy.

Radiance thrumming
through your veins, my name
carved in chambers of your
heart, the graceful trees
that blossom, the reality
of longing for me in your arms.

And you will come to realise
you love my thorns,
not just my petals —
infinity decorated in ribbons and
wrapped in roses around your heart.
