Rain

If I close my eyes
I can feel his lips on mine.

The raindrops melting
into my burning flesh —

As my heart pounds out
the letters of his name
like thunder
rolling
while lightning fingertips
slip burning fire
across the obsidian sky.

Rain.

Affected…my heart pounded to this, “As my heart pounds out
    the letters of his name
    like thunder
    rolling”
