The lost laugh

Smile erupted in my teens

Giggles sprouted at sixteen

Laughter roared till middle age

Family of humor vanished at old age

Eyes wrung long for tears

The angel of joy turned in demon of fear

The lost laughter could not be reared

The realm of grim remains to be geared
