Violence

Where once peace existed

And ease persisted

Today a timid silence clings

As violence flings

Rattle of guns held to ransom

Attacks the innocent bosom

Flash of naked swords

Act as rewards

Hair on body stands

When unrest allows strand

Human race is drowned in the

tidal waves

Of horrid cataclysm which shows no way to save

Very significant poem in relation to the times of today. Nicely written, great job!
