Galactic Sojourn

Thousands of galaxies, I only know of the Sun,
Some gleaming hot stars, others borrow his might;
Daily he wakes up early, life continuously on run,
Darkness gives a slip, spreads around golden light;

Following the twilight, dark night steps in, little far
Animates take a wink, on peep from the milky way,
Spirals, elliptical or dwarf, billions of earth like stars,
Astroids flash fires, multitude bereft of mates play;

Man steps in feet, his thoughts cover a million miles,
Earth insufficient to live, bringing close other planets
Dreaming other life, UAVs, in sheer search, for a while
Sojourns in the skies, to carry through spirited tenets

The day is not far, when humans talk of different trips
Cutting across far off planets or the galaxies, there of
Instead of country, or city, tell planetary, galactic tips
Martian groom luxates for venusian bride, nice show off
