By Laura Lorraine Glazewski

A faithful man, A gentle soul
It hurts to weep, it takes it toll
He looks in her eyes with a gentle kiss
And thanked God she was his
The smell of the room he'll never forget
Drifting to sleep of how they first met
Her beautiful smile took him fast
The warmth of her touch made it last
He woke up startled, and looked around
heard the nurse say no pulse to be found
He stood there as the doctors worked
But God had taken her from her misery and hurt
He took her hand as they pronounced the time
And on one knee said you will always be mine
They covered her face and rolled her through
His mind raced can this really be true
She's now at home safe and sure
And he knows one day he again will be hers.
