Love's Proof

Just because I say I love you,
Doesn’t mean you need to reply.
You don’t have to tell me anything,
That before others you would deny.

I’ve been around the block,
At least a time or too.
I don’t need to hear you say it,
I need to know it’s true.

Love expressed in words,
Doesn’t really mean anything.
If I don’t feel that you love me,
Your voice is just a ring.

Only by your actions,
And the little things you do.
Can express your hearts desires,
And show me that you’re true.

The proof is in the pudding,
By the way you treat me.
Words mean very little,
Without some history.

You don’t have to say you love me;
It’s not a good place to start.
But if I can tell by your actions,
Then I know what's in your heart.

Absolutely beautiful. If we're supposed to be helping, I would point out in the second stanza, 2nd line, your use of "too" may better be used as "two." Otherwise a very beautiful piece. I really enjoy reading your stuff.
