My Hero
by
Sina T.
I know I am lucky to know
in advance.
Some say it's a curse
to know in advance.
But I would rather know,
than be surprised.
My hero,
My protector,
My dad.
Larger than life.
I love you
and I am not ready to let you go.
in advance.
Some say it's a curse
to know in advance.
But I would rather know,
than be surprised.
My hero,
My protector,
My dad.
Larger than life.
I love you
and I am not ready to let you go.

This took a lot out of me as I wrote about my father; He does not have much time left.

I can't stand it when sad poems are thrown at me. I love them to death but, well, they're sad, and they make me sad. If you really did lose your father, I have a lot of empathy for you. I've had a few people die in my life time, and it's true that it's much easier knowing ahead of time that they passing on then getting that phone call in the middle of the night. I hope this is a work of fiction; but if it's not, it's sweet that you wrote down your feelings. Great job, I really like this.
