Wordsmith
To Joyce Carol Gibson
Wordsmith
make me a blade carved from truth
take pure
soul essence ore
and add flame
beating kinks out of steel words
none of your blades are quite the same
your technigue improved
yet each one is a part of the arsenal of you
for you are wordsmith
your world the forge
you hammer our anvils
working our maleable core
heating us to a brilliant red
cooling us until steel shines through
honing the thoughts in our head
framing the very way we move
wordsmith,
fashion me a page
with verses like blades
made from the pure light of your hue
wordsmith
be you metallurgist or mage
set these simple words ablaze
for they are but tribute to you
they are not honed to your excellence
I offer them with deference
all that I have
Is this unworked slag
unworthy of your purvue

Inspired by Joyce Carols tribute to Doina, I felt Joyce deserved a tribute also and this is my humble attempt.

I have a bit of a heart for metal work already, but in the romantic traditional sense (this poem made me thinks of smiths from hundreds of years ago) and I am in agreement that Joyce is a wonderful writer :)

It homage to the great poet Wordsmith. His work was observed with many great scholars and writers with intention to get a lesson of sincerity and truth for the improvement human standard.
The glimpse of truth overflows throughout the poems he composed. He was a worthy philosopher
not only of his period but also in present period of time too. If the modern poet follow his work they could produce precious literature.
