A little boy came up to me,
And ask " How can I help.?"
He had no shoes and worn out clothes,
But a smile upon his face.
"I only have a dime " said he,
"But you're welcome to it all.
If it will help some child,
Who is worse off than I"
A line it formed as he stood there,
But I offered him a bar.
"No thank you ma'am" he said to me,
I don't take anything for free".
"I'm here to help your worthy cause
And not for myself this time."
How unselfish that little boy was
As tears formed in my eyes.
Suddenly the long, long line
Had tears in all their eyes.
Willing to help my worthwhile cause
Because of the boy who gave his dime.

Good storyline. Some typos. Would like another verse of introduction, who is your narrator? Great start.
