Old Friends

Here comes my friend, now what's his name?
Its stupid of me and yet
I want to say hello to him
but, his name you see, I forget.
What can I possibly say to him
I feel so full of shame
to have a friend the likes of him
and yet forget his name.
If he speaks to me and says hello
I know I'll surely die
to forget a simple name like his...
But wait, he passed me by.
Well now he's gone I'll never know
the name of the friend I knew
Do you think by any chance at all
that he forgot mine too ?
