A Bear Secret

Soft, furry, cuddly,
you sit, life like with
a personality and eyes
that look at you, unique,
in every way,
for that love and contentment,
that emanates and which,
you seek.

Little bear, how can I ignore
you,
when you give such comfort
and joy, to adore you.
if only you could talk, when
I am feeling low,
but still, no matter,
you and me can hug,
even though you are but a
treasured collectable or a toy.

Special to me, to give a sense
of happiness and joy to hang
onto.
Treasured and you do not want
for anything.
You have a character, that is
pleasing.
No-one understands when I
have a special friend,
such as you,
in silence to confide.
Of course, there are those,
that know of my bear and I shrug
off such thoughtless teasing.

Many a person has an item of comfort,
it does not matter and I do not
care what.
I have my bear and me.
No, I have not lost the plot !!

Child, adolescent, young or
mature aged, I am certain all
like a bear.
One cannot deny this and wherever you
venture in the world, with exceptions,
you will find a bear for you,
when your skies are grey,
instead of sunny and blue,
your bear with cheerful face,
will surely pull you through !!

Take heart and draw comfort,
that if you have no-one else to
confide, that your bear will
listen, to keep a secret,
never to be told,
for your bear, wants you
to be happy, to share
with you and listen,
you are never too old !!

The poem, 'Bear Secret,' is composed by giving thought to a way in which we cope with life difficulties and find comfort to distract from the negativity. To have an item or something that means something to be of comfort is beneficial in the process of negative thought and to draw on the happier side of our personality. I find that I have an interest in bears, each one a character, this works well. The poem is intended to be of a guided technique to relaxation and I hope the reader gains from it. I always enjoy things that deal with simple matters in a complex way...when you think about it, we're all still children. Our faces line and thoughts grow darker but the wants and needs still remain. A well done piece
