In Search Of Colours

I'm in search of a single colour fleck
But even the rainbows and flowers seem black
Where is the magic of the colourful
butterflies ?
Why do I feel that I've lost my eyes ?
I beg for colours but the heavens turn me
down,
The last colour I saw rested on your evening
gown
In every colour you wore I had my share
Be it your blue eyes or your golden hair
Be it the red paint that rested on your nails
Be it your rosy lips which told the love
tales
Now there's no magic that my worlds own
Gone are the colours because you're gone
I'm still in search of colours,I'm in search
of you,
But I can't bring you back,'cause you need colours too !

A theme one can take for granted, colours. For those that see, they can take for granted, for those born blind? Do they see black and white? Thought provoking. The poem suggests the colour has gone out of one’s life when losing their love.... Layout, punctuation revision. *Please make a personal review comment on your poems within 'your poems and profile*
