Closet

Moved into my closet today
Much more cozy than the house
Everything I need is here
All confined in this rectangular box
Slide my doors tightly shut
No hints of sound or light
Can change my clothes here many times
Can try on a new pair of shoes
Such an easy walk for me
From one end to the other
No one to discourage me here
No one to rage against
Might someday learn to live with myself
If I'm the only one around
Might make a new best friend
Or consult with an old enemy
Either way I'm staying
And am quite content
