Paper Tiger
by
Albeej A
The tricolor tiger who lives on a hill
Is mortally wounded, deserted, but still
Lingers on, while the bear and the dragon wait
Vigilantly: the meal they anticipate.
Is mortally wounded, deserted, but still
Lingers on, while the bear and the dragon wait
Vigilantly: the meal they anticipate.

Welcome back

The poem seems simple and cute, but it depicts such a dark image. To me - this makes me think beyond the animal kingdom food chain and into the rest of society where there is always someone waiting for you to show weakness so they can get ahead of you in life. We all know at least one person like this I'm sure....

I really like the simplicity of it yet an image can be created from this.
