The names that I've been called
I wouldn't say they have not effected me at all.
I have been in a couple of fights
that have not helped me take flight.
They've yelled "Chubby" in the school halls.
Shouted out "Big Boy" in the mall.
Sometimes I here "look at him jiggle".
Other times some say "watch his fat wiggle".
I used to yell back, call them some names.
But know that I've simmered, my psyche has tamed.
Now they've stopped, 'cause I don't react.
I don't throw any punches or call them names back.
Now I'm telling you how I did survive
When violence affected this 12 year olds life
