Caribbean Vacation
by Catherine Menichelli
Submitted 7 months ago
Hurricane Sandy is picking up speed, I hope she is not looking for me. We have been through many, including Francis and Jean. Those two ladies were pretty dam mean. Waiting in line for water with Fema in control is just what I wished, or so I'm told. Here in Providenciales the rain is blowing hard, hubby Cesare is getting anxious as the storm starts to form. Please mother nature give me a break, if we take one more hit, it will be my big mistake. I planned this two month adventure from beginning to end, if it gets screwed up I will lose a close friend. Hubby will haunt me morning, noon, and night, I will not have closure until the dawn of light.

My Father
by Catherine Menichelli
Submitted 7 months ago
As a little girl, I always knew you were close by. I felt safe even the times I wanted to cry. Knowing how much you gave for me, I realize how little I give to thee. You watched me make hugh mistakes, and still picked me up when I started to ache. I have broken your heart so many times, yet you hold on tight to show me the light. I know I am your child, you gave me life, why hold on with such a fight? What have I done to deserve your love, break all the rules that come from above. You suffered more then any one knows, but still open your heart for one lost soul. Jesus my father I thank thee today, for standing by me in every way. Father you gave me more then I deserve, please lead me to the true meaning of your word.

Lost Words Of Beauty For Joyce Carol Gibson
by Catherine Menichelli
Submitted 9 months ago
Lost are the beautiful words of time, Joyce could easily make life rhyme. With her pen in hand, she could surely expand on any subject known to man. Such beauty, and grace can not be replaced by the evil doers who have no face. Her genuine style and effortless form leave every person waiting for more. Joyce you are a defender of all that is true, you stand up for our words we are no stranger to you.

The love In Her Heart ( For Breda)
by Catherine Menichelli
Submitted 9 months ago
My girl friend called today, she did'nt have much to say. I could tell something was terribly wrong, so I appeared to be very strong. Her closest friend had to say good bye, now all she can do is sit and cry. My words though soothing did not help much, losing her baby left her way out of touch. Too many losses my friend has endured, I wish there was a fast and instant cure. For a little person you have stood so tall even when your back was against the wall. At times when you may feel alone, remember Jake and John are not far from home. They are with you in every step you take, whether your a sleep or wide awake. The love that you shared and have in your heart will always return from where it did start.

My Magoo
by Catherine Menichelli
Submitted 10 months ago
You were my best friend, you gave me so much. A few months have gone by, I still long for your touch The love that flowed freely, our beautiful bond. The joy you gave me, I depended on. You had a tough life from the very start, I felt your pain it tugged at my heart. The day I brought you home to stay, the love you gave I could never repay. Now fourteen years later I am told to let go of my furry little friend who I adore so. The tears were streaming down on my little Magoo, you were my life I will never forget you.

No Shame
by Catherine Menichelli
Submitted 10 months ago
How can you say we are all the same, did you grow up with out any shame? all of us slept in the same bed, the smell of stale urine stuck in my head. Hand me downs did not exsist, red cross shoes were pure bliss. One blue skirt to wear to school, you wonder why I broke the golden rule. Bruise's to my hands and face, please Lord take me out of this place. I try to conceal the best I can, I guess I'll just blame the cat again. Until she grabs me by the hair and lifts me up above the chair, then bangs my head againest the wall, starting to cry God please let me die. I finally break loose and run out side, tears rushing down my cheeks I try to hide. The snow is gently falling, I hear my little brother Tom calling. He brought me a coat and piece of bread and had to sneak back in to go to bed. Gloria will let me know when she finally falls a sleep, then I slowly walk in with out making a peep. As I lay there in my bed terrible thoughts running through my head. I realize then its not her fault, she is repeating the abuse that she was taught. I pray to Jesus and confess my sins so I am free to come home with him.
