ROBERT REZONABLE ALICIAS is a Master Teacher II and a former school paper adviser of The Voice of Candon National High School (Philippines) for 35 years. He began his career in journalism in 1970 as the editor in chief of The Immaculate, official publication of the Divine Word College of Vigan. He finished here his AB-BSE degree. He co-authored “The 1973 Socio-Economic Profile of Ilocos Sur. (He was then the former private secretary of then Governor Luis “Chavit” Singson. Among his published works: “Ilocos Sur: Province of Historical Spots and Great Men,” Focus PHILIPPINES; and Race against Time,” a short story and “Existentialism and Other Poems, which came out in The Immaculate. He was a former columnist of The Lowland Herald (now defunct); a chess columnist of the Lowland Courier; a former contributor of the Gulf Express (now defunct); former contributor of the Chicmate Section of Philippine Panorama; former staffmember of Timek Ti Amianan; contributor of Damag; former news editor and columnist of Ilocandia Star; columnist,sports, features and layout editor of DECS- Ilocos Sur publication, Ilocos Educator; editor in chief of Teachers Voice, official publication of DECS-Regional; former columnist of The Norluzonian Courier and the leading columnist, editorial writer and headline editor of The Ilocos Herald where the materials of this book are taken. He was co-editor in chief with Romulo G. Basuel of the IRAA ’02 newsletter called IRAA Courier. He was awarded as one of the ten most outstanding school paper advisers of the Philippines in School Year 1995. He was the editor in chief of the 1995 Palarong Pambansa (Lingayen, Pangasinan) Souvenir Program and associate editor of the 1995 Palarong Pambansa newsletter. He was the managing editor of the defunct Saringit. He has authored two books: Morsels of Life, Volume 1 and Volume 2. He has one book on poems about to be published. He is working on his third book, “Morsels of Life 3”.
