If it would have been a snake
There it is right in front of you.
If it was any larger, you would trip over it.
It's not that small open your eyes.
If it would have been a snake it would have bit you.
I know you can see them.
So please look there right there.
Now put them on there your glasses not mine

On the death of thee
There's little joy in life for me,
And  little terror in the grave:
I've lived the parting hour to see
Of one I would have died to save.

Calmly to watch the failing breath,
Wishing each sigh might be the last;
Longing to see the shade of death
Over those beloved features cast;
The cloud, the stillness that must part
The darling of my life from me;
And then to thank God from my heart, to thank him well and fervently:
Although i knew that we had lost
The hope and glory of our life;
And now , benighted, tempest-tossed,
Must bear alone the weary strife

Hollow Brick Road
You can hear the echoing sounds
When the horses go passing by.
The loud sound in your mind.
A hollow sound.
The children playing make the noise only louder
As they run and play on the hollow street of brick.
Where can you find this hollow road you want to know?
To your dreams, as you listen to the sounds of the clock passing time

Who is your neighbor?
My neighbor is a little old lady.
With the brightest gray hair you ever seen.
And always has a smile to say hi with.
She has a rocker that I never been used.
At her kitchen and half the town smells like apple pie.
Which drives me crazy.
She's a kind old lady at all
