I was born in a small town in Saskatchewan in the area that is where the forest and prairie meet. When I was three years old my parents moved sixty miles to another small town, in early November. We started out with all our worldly possessions in a hay wrack,on on a wagon pulled by a team of horses. Partway through the journey we were caught in an early winter blizzard. A sledge had to be borrowed, everything transferred to the sledge to complete the journey. I attended school in this area until I was sixteen at which time I dropped out and went to work, I served in the Canadian army and then went to the U.S. and served in the army there. In 2001 we moved back to Canada. After my discharge from the U.S.army I would have conversations with my sons about my travels and adventures in North America and around the world. They encouraged me to put my travels and adventures in print for posterity. After returning home to Canada in 2001, I decided to do so. After getting started on that project, I started writing poetry based on my travels and adventures. The first poems that I wrote were bases on those travels and adventures. I then expanded into total fiction for some and some poems are partially based on events that took place over the forty plus years of my travels. I have been to six of the Canadian provinces, forty-four of the States in the United States and eighteen countries of the world.
