Poem

A ruler taps at a desk, and taps, and taps away hard
For it is from audacious hands, and a face scarred
Because of years of denying, soft oils, lotions, scents
Trappings of Jezebel, she'd exhort, one she resents
All at their appointed desk, the church bell tolls once
Tom took roll, “30 present 3 absent”, he announce
Stoned-faced, Mrs. Torkelson sternly and assured
Speaks with a commanding tone as we're moored
We did not make a sound and listened intently
Her voice was icy cold, none knew differently
She'll demand correct answers, not settling for less
And she'll grade us like they do for a school test
Out loud are words like, “wrong”, and, “no-no-no”
Like our parents at work, clock watchers when to go
In the end, our parents will come to collect us
Mrs. Torkelson, like Jekyll and Hyde readjust
In her black laced dress, she would put on a smile
I thought, she's not one to fool, but best to beguile

Reverend Peabody,
Strong willed, audacious, ruler
Taps, message, take note.

Naturalized citizen,
Vaporize your past,
Unsure of the present,
Others not up to task.

My shoes has been where it has always been
Under the bed, or besides it, of last it was seen
It sits dormant like a volcano, not being used
Untouched, undisturbed, and unabused
It erupts, awaken by two bare feet, alive again
It's moving, this tale of mine, therein lies the brain
Move left or right or stand still or turn around,
It knows of what that is under it, floor or ground
It is a floor, it was wood but now I feel porcelain
It is cool, and it smells of a disinfectant, it's plain
I seem to be stopped, I wait for just a short while
Now I've moved, a half a turn and forward on tile
Back to wood again, and free at last, but not for another
Who'll take over, shiny because they go through such bother
Showy it is, bright like new, for it will walk a mile or more
And me just by two feet, under the bed, and kissing the floor.

Moth loves my curtain.
Shook, it flew back and not budge.
The power of love.

He made his own definition, and he became an icon on America's TV
Many had viewed him over the years, whereto, it also had included me
His show was closely watched, the compelling stories had lasted for an hour
He had stories for millions of fans, some hidden, others not, and people to scour
By the many interviews that he had done, he was loved, and he was hated
Few women and men had taken issue, and it had taken a course that was ill-fated
Of a man who was at his peak, ratings made him grow, made him towering
Never backed-down, he stood the fight with all of his might, never took cowering
All to an end, it suddenly came one day, ironic that he's now the breaking news
Accused of harassment by some ladies, that was said to have being abused
In end, he took a stand and claimed his not guilty, "I'm innocent", said he
Now it's over, light's out, staff dismissed, saying goodbye to Bill O'Reilly

As I looked up towards the sky
I am wondering why,
For why, and where am I,
Slumbered just awhile, time--a piece,
For I was set at ease,
And place myself to peace,
T'is my journey come to an end,
For will I have to spend,
Away from you, my friend,
I don't know why I'm punished so,
Foretelling blackened snow,
Seasons twist and I know
Why I dreamt a dream of being unloved,
Sad that none from above,
Knew the harshness being shoved,
For the Sun now beats hard on my back
No return from this wreck,
Earth I'm bound, where I trek,
My whiten wings fell and turned all black.

The hurt of love, pain
of not knowing, cycle of
sadness, it goes on.

I've launched my new home
As a bright star that it will be
Twinkling the construction crew
The blueprint of my universe
Shuttling every two by four
Neutralizing each nail and bolt
A stellar constitution
I phased into my next imagination
Adding a boatload of color
It came like a rushing river
Splashing fuchsia & chartreuse
Moist lemons with cherry lips
That kissed a beach full of panels
I've shed both light
And subtle darkness
A dab, a spot, or a light touch
For each was a part of me
I furnish it with harmony
Chairs of comfort and tables of joy
Couch full of room
And a room full of love
I've planted a garden
That was full of laughter
Smiles were growing everywhere
A chuckle of roses
Yellows and reds
Blossoms stood to amuse
I thought to entertain the heart
And enlighten the mind
To soothe my body
By giving it hope
I made it my home
It's one like none other.

You're the star above
Bursting twinklings of love,
To all turtle doves.
