“I am Christopher Ballets, a scientist”
The tall black eyed giant man said puffs
“A scientist?” I tried to push out in disbelief
I thought scientists are never black skinned,
Here now is one so dark and chocolaty black,
Perhaps I was wrong all along nursing balk
Or perhaps Christopher Ballets is a liar

“What sort of a scientist are you, a Joker?”
I ask when boldness faintly burst returned
I’ve dare to question such a man amiss
“A research scientist in embryology lab;
Where test-tube babies are made?
Test-tube babies? Another kind of a joke
“No jokes here or about these things”

Babies grows outside of a human-woman?
No! I’d take that as one of those big joke
“No they can be proven and had been proven
You take a sperm of the grown adult male,
And the ovary of the adult female of choice
Then you fertilize and incubate in test-tube
Well, you could stay with me here in the lab”

No! God could be angry with me, you know?
I love the Lord and I obey his Holy words,
“Scientists do same with all modesty,
You see, we work here to help save lives,
That’s our work and to that we’re committed”
And even create lives like some sort of biscuit?
That’s offsetting of God’s Holy laws, I guess?

“No! It’s not. It’s a different ball game entirely
There are people with fertility problems,
We help them get babies and save their marriages”
You call that science? That serves no logic.
“It does. Science is about looking for possibilities
And we’ve this one figure out and proven,
That’s our job! We’ve been doing that all our lives”

O’ God must be a scientist figuring out possibilities
And ways on how to mend a broken world
“That could be true. He could be up to something,
In science we don’t argue or agree to stuffs,
We prove and disprove with experiments”
O’ that’s a great way to express yourselves,
By the way, I am A. J. Noble—a believer.

Though weird! This poem expresses counter beliefs and proposes a possibility. You might want to find out what the possibility is.
