I enjoyed the ambiguity of the poem. When I first read it, I immediately thought the horse represented a lover. Upon a second reading, I thought the poem might ACTUALLY be about a horse. Upon a third reading, I was back to the lover. Upon a fourth reading, I realized I couldn’t tell, which means the poem was artfully crafted.
