To You

You who inhabits
This canopy of mine
Take from my branch
My only fruit
For you are the only one
I trust to not glutton
But to build together
A very tree of our...

Min Alvskönhet

My love whose soul is intertwined,
My celestial sprite with hair of light.
Who has enchanted me in spellbind,
And makes me restless in the night.

Take my hand and be mine today,
So I may match your cerulean minces.
And we'd be together till...

Avouer

Oh, how forbidden are the rings to touch Saturn,
And so too is my voice unable to express.
To compliment your beautiful hair of auburn,
And to let all of these emotions out in excess.

A cursed passion that I'm unable to profess,
Frail is...

Trapped Within

Deprivation is the worst curse upon humanity,
Even the strongest bones rot when shown their own mortality.
Breathing but inside this chest the lungs recoil,
Living but trapped within the deep dark soil.

Endlessly smothered by the weight of...

Distant Island

An island just sits beyond the waves,
And I've been adrift for far too many days.
This pain in my chest is heightened without your gaze.
Will I be able to reach you through all this fog and haze?

I get the feeling that this voyage might be...

Great poem! Also thanks for the like on my poem.
I find it awesome you have a charity for Ukraine. I have donated to some already and bought music that the money goes to the aid for them as well. I have 2 friends from ukraine that were forced to take refuge in another country. It is sad seeing people lose their homes and life they had there.
I'm glad you are offering support and helping in this troubling time, thank you!

Honestly thought your poem was beautiful, and was a hard choice between yours and the one I ended up voting for. I hope to see more good poems from you and I hope that despite not winning, that you continue to write and create magnificence with your words!

Not overly complex for no reason. Uses words in a way that flows with the overall poem and gets its point across, and not just trying to rhyme. It's a poem I feel that everyone can relate to. It was lovely to read and digest. It was a hard choice but I feel like this poem deserves my vote.

You write beautiful poems, I read the one before this one too. You have vivid imagery and invoke such an interesting perspective on parenthood, even though I am not one lol.
