Dull grey, soft blue, and a touch of pink,
All colours muted in the haze.
Time strewn upon the soft, white sand,
Slowly the hours, so quickly the days.

Splashing through the shallow waves,
Playing out our gentle ruse,
Panting, laughing as...

Such a beautiful, poignant way to depict the passing of generations. Made me think of my grandma. When the old have had a full life, they do not fear death. The idea of eternal life, through generations and generations, sits besides the theme of death. and yet the descriptive paragraphs leave behind a deep sense of melancholy.
