(WILL THERE BE) FREEDOM FOR TIBET (?)

Some may speak of freedom
While others can only dream,
But over in Tibet
Freedom’s told but never seen.

While the whole world goes on waiting
For freedom to unfold,
Tibet just asks for justice
But justice is on hold.

While China is rewarded
For evil deeds since done,
It seems Tibet’s chances
Are all but surely gone.

A massacre once spoken of
Has all but slipped our minds,
Although they hope for freedom
Tibet must be resigned.

Resigned to broken promises
The World forgot to keep,
Resigned to Chinese evil sown
Which the world went on to reap.

About this poem

Wishful thinking probably. But I don't believe in any country owning another country. Although, Hong Kong did seem quite happy under (much-maligned) British rule.
