A Dweller's Dream

Between this life and the next
Lies a vision, visible through text

One vision, held by two blind mice
To one day get a chance, to roll the dice

Dreaming, to someday leave the dirt
To live a better life, a top the earth

Praying each night they don't get caught
Searching for food, in the back lot

Life is hard and life is mean
Wake up each morning, continuing to dream

About this poem

I wrote this poem about two mice , these mice spend their lives living among the dirt and the lower end of life but dream of being able to leave it all for a bigger and better future.
