It's a deal

sanity oh sanity
where did you go
where are you now
i would like to know
little by little
you left without warning
though absence of you
is surely not boring
when you were here
i had seen much more clearly
now things are so blurry
i am missing you dearly
before, all the voices
you kept them at bay
now they scream for me
to do as they say
want me to do things
i know isn't right
so hard to resist now
with you out of my sight
i ask what would happen
if i not follow through
what would become of me
oh what could you do
the answer then came
clear as the day is plain
we'll make you become crazy
completely insane
maybe a lunatic
committing crimes of horror
maybe demented
a madman of sorrow
i knew this day was coming my spirit is worn
give in i don't know
not sure i am torn
i don't want to be psychotic but what do i choose
i decide to make a deal
what do i have to lose
i ask hear me out
i have terms to propose
so i begin to pitch
this scheme I've composed
i don't want to be completely insane i admit
so what if only
part of me submit
