I Don't Know You Anymore

I Don't Know You Anymore
By Nancy Rodriquez

I don't know you anymore,
and our love did not mean anything to you,
In the five months since you closed the door,
and now you tell me about the hard drugs you do,
What happened to the man I once loved?
who would rather live in this lusty haze,
then to get back what he once adored,
Euphoria is now where you choose to be,
and all I can do for you is pray,
your life will not end do you see?
You can never be a part of my life like this,
I must protect the lives of others,
the old you is who I dearly miss,
Look what we have done to one another,
I doubt if you will hear anything I am saying here,
and I do not want to hear you have passed away,
Drugs destroy lives, and this is my fear,
please turn around before it becomes too late.
